ACCBC to open a new factory in Iraq

Aujan Coca Cola Beverages Company will open its newest factory in Iraq in November 2020.  This state-of-the-art, 34,400 m2 manufacturing facility is located just South of Baghdad.

The factory is equipped with 3 lines which enable manufacturing of glass bottle, PET and Can formats.  A 4th line is expected to be added to the facility the coming months to add additional glass bottle capabilities.  The factory will manufacture a wide range of Rani, Barbican and Vimto products in multiple formats.

The project started in 2016 and has created 140 direct job opportunities and facilitated the creation of 400 indirect roles through distributors in Iraq.  More than 80% of these job opportunities have been filled with local recruits.

The help of the National Investment Commission and the Prime Minister’s Office have been invaluable in facilitating on-time project approvals and in ensuring steady progress.   This long-awaited project could not have been completed without the expertise, energy and resilience of Aujan’s dedicated project team, particularly during the challenging circumstances of 2020.

With an effective and efficient manufacturing and distribution platform now available in Iraq, ACCBC has an excellent platform to expand the availability of Rani, Barbican and Vimto across the region.

Congratulations to ACCBC, all members of the project team and the Iraq Factory team.
